Photos from the recent Tomco installation at the VHF Chung-Li radar site, Taiwan. This installation completes the upgrading of the 120kW VHF transmitter system from valve to solid-state technology. The ST radar is operated by the Institute of Space Science, National Central University

This footage is an excerpt from "Antarctica-What Lies beneath", a report screened on Foreign Correspondent, 3/3/09, which shows the University of Texas ice penetrating radar in operation as part of the ICECAP project. A Tomco 1kW, 5-70MHz pulsed RF amplfier is part of this radar system
